What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, username, and optional profile photo. When you use Betsy, we store the bets you create, your votes, your comments, and your friendships within the app.
How we use it
Your data is used solely to provide the Betsy experience: showing your bets, letting friends vote, and sending you notifications. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Where it's stored
Data is stored securely on Supabase (supabase.com), hosted in the EU. Push notifications are delivered via Expo's notification service.
User content & reports
Bets and comments are written by users. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report any bet or comment from inside the app, and report & block any user from their profile. We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks our Terms of Use, and remove the accounts of people who post it.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you're in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request this, email us at betsytheapp@icloud.com and we'll sort it out promptly.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account — and all associated data — at any time from your profile (Profile → Edit profile → Delete account), or by getting in touch.
